Lake Lure was impacted by Hurricane Helene in Sept 2024. While the area is rebuilding and many businesses are reopening, the lake remains closed. Our cottage continues to host peaceful, restorative stays, but some guests find limited activities. We recommend researching current conditions via local FB groups or the town website to best plan your trip.

Conveniently accessible throughout the year without the need for a truck or 4x4, this home offers cleanliness, safety, and tranquility. It seamlessly blends modern comforts with the allure of mountain living, allowing guests to stay connected while unwinding. Enjoy breathtaking views from two of the three bedrooms and three patios. Each room is equipped with its own TV featuring popular streaming services and high-speed internet. The lower level patios offer relaxation with swings, hammock chairs, and a picnic table, complemented by cozy couches and an electric fireplace indoors. Engage in interactive games on the magnetic wall upstairs or enjoy fun activities downstairs. An Electric Vehicle (EV) Level 2 Charging Station is available. Whether you seek adventure or relaxation, this inviting space invites you to experience the charm of the house and the surrounding area firsthand.

Accessing both the house and its neighborhood is straightforward. The gentle slope of the roads and level driveway ensure easy accessibility year-round. The neighborhood offers a serene and tranquil environment.

Once in Lake Lure, getting to the local shops, attractions, lake and beach are very easy and within minutes of an easy drive.

This home accommodates a maximum of 10 guests with 3 bedrooms and 4 beds. Additional sleeping space is available with 2 air mattresses and couches. Dogs are permitted with a pet cleaning fee option, and cleaners are informed to provide thorough cleaning for future guests. Pets must refrain from furniture, and guests are responsible for pet hair removal and cleanup. Bedroom layout includes a Queen bed, Full/Full bunk bed, and King bed with a full bathroom. Please consult the guidebook for further details.

Notice: Beginning November 1, 2023, a drawdown of the lake will take place until March 31, 2024, to facilitate infrastructure projects. These include GLS project, dredging, seawall and boathouse maintenance, dam and hydroelectric plant upkeep, and sewer cleaning. Lake refilling commences on March 31st, subject to weather conditions and rainfall.
